Pajama Jeans - Style Genius or Style Frumpy?

Ok, so I don't know if you've seen these Pajama Jeans yet, but they've done it. Some fashionista put her foot down and wanted style AND comfort. It's the idea of the look of jeans but the comfort of pajamas. So comfortable that you can "sleep" in them. I will have to try this out because if there's one thing I find more uncomfortable is sleeping in jeans. As I watch the infomercial, it's tacky at first but then I think, you know what...haven't we been uncomfortable for too long? We ALWAYS give up comfort for fashion it seems (Especially when it comes to our shoes. When someone comes out with like a "house slipper stiletto", I'll be checking that out for sure.).
Initially when I heard of someone coming out with a clothing item that is comfortable I immediately thought 'frumpy'. But then I thought about the fact that I do work from home and sometimes I am either in my yoga pants or leggings because it's more comfortable. How great would it be if it looked like jeans? Then I could wear even more cute tops and not feel frumpy or feel like I'm about to go to the gym. I think this is a great invention. I will have to test it out in person, but if it's what I think it is, I love it! It probably goes against all of the high end designer motto's out there, but who cares! High end design isn't real. It's not meant for real life people who live a real life as a stay at home mom or someone who wants to run errands or someone who wants to go out in comfort.
Now if these jeans look like stretchy maternity jeans, that is one thing. But if they really pulled off a pair of stretchy jeans that hug your body and accent your booty, you got my business! This would be a godsend for stay at home mom's who don't want to wear sweats all day or for career women on their days off. Whatever the occasion, I vote Yes!

How sad!!! Today truly is a sad day in fashion. The uber talented and innovative designer Alexander McQueen was found dead in his London home. They say it's a possible suicide linked to the depression from his mother's death. This is such a sad sad story. He is best known for designing for Lady Gaga, Madonna, and other fashion icons and will be truly missed. All of his designs were unique and different and it's going to be a long time before we find such a special talent like him again. RIP Alexander McQueen.
Inexpensive Valentines Day Gift Ideas For Your Boyfriend or Husband
If you're getting a Valentine's Day gift for your boyfriend or husband, get him something he can play with. Men are like big babies. They have a huge sweet tooth (so chocolates definitely work on them) and they love gadgets and games. One year I made a huge basket of sweets and snacks (I bought from Walgreens, so nothing fancy) and dropped it off at my boyfriend's workplace with a big red bow. Did he love it? Of course he did! He was proud to show off that he was the only person in the office to get a basket of goodies. Needless to say, all the other co workers went through and tried to steal all of the snacks in the basket, but still! Guys like being surprised as well. Or, as unromantic as it sounds, get him a video game he wants.
If he has finally grown out of the video game phase, get him man jewelry. I'm talking about the cool watches or really unique cuff links. And you think men don't like being pampered? They love it! Without women introducing men to spas and massages, they wouldn't go alone and they wouldn't know what they're missing out on. One of the best Valentine's day was when I treated my boyfriend and I to a couple's massage. He loved it. He now gets more massages than I do and I know he appreciated me introducing him to such pampering. If getting a massage is too expensive for you, you can buy a massage book for like $10, along with massage oil and setup your own spa at home. It's romantic, fun and uber sexy! Dress up for the occasion and show him your massaging skills. This will be very inexpensive yet very effective, if you know what I mean (raise of one eyebrow).
Here's a list of things to consider when looking for a gift for your man:
Inexpensive Valentines Day Gift Ideas For Your Girlfriend or Wife
It's that time of year again, Valentine's day! Sometimes it's a dreadful holiday whether or not you're in a relationship, there are all types of stresses that come with this day. But it really shouldn't be that way. If you're stressing because there is no romantic love in your life, you should take 2010 to have a different attitude. It's just another day and a chance to love and pamper yourself no matter what stage of life you're in. I'm no Dr. Phil, but letting a naked angle with a bow and arrow get you down is just plain ole silly. Holidays are just a way for the industry to try to boost the economy with spikes in consumer purchases anyway. There's no reason why you shouldn't use this day to give yourself some love! If you are in a relationship, the stress of Valentine's day is still there. How do you top the gift you bought last year? How do you think of creative ideas besides just dinner and chocolates? What if you don't have a lot of money? If you're with someone and Valentine's Day has been a dud in the past, also let 2010 be the year where you're not going to let anything get you down.
If you don't have money, set up a picnic in the park and find projects to do together. Spending time together is ultimately the idea of this romantic day. Do small cheesy gestures around the house for laughs and be silly. Do not take this day so seriously. If you are planning on buying gifts, don't waste your money on trinkets that spell out, "I love you". Instead, know your partner's interest.
If you're looking for gifts for your girlfriend or wife, ask yourself, what does she like? Is she a fashion girl? Is she into cooking? Has she been mentioning she needs more scarfs or jewelry or perfume? Is there a book she keeps saying that she wants to read? Is she an eco chick? Women are pretty easy to shop for in my opinion. You have so much to choose from with us. When thinking about what to get for your woman, keep in mind that we want to feel 3 things: pampered, sexy and appreciated. With those 3 things in mind, you should have no problem coming up with the perfect day and gift for your girlfriend or wife. Here are some ideas:
1. Pampered:
90% of women love massages. Spa day? Easy enough! If you don't have money, how else can you pamper your woman? Draw her a bath and put rose petals in the tub and light some candles. Simple, easy AND cheap. If you don't have a bathtub for some reason, how else can you pamper your girl? Well, if on a normal day she cooks for you, take out time to learn a recipe and give her a break! Cook her a meal and don't forget the little romantic details. Light candles, put rose petals on the table and give her love messages in her pasta. She will melt. You can literally go to the dollar store and find red table linens, red toasting flutes with hearts and other Valentine's day decor that makes her feel like you totally put in the effort to make it special for her. It does not take a lot of money to please a woman. It just takes effort. If you're not that creative and you can't cook, pamper her with gift certificates to get her nails done or to the tanning salon. How much is that? Like $20-$30? Cheap and very much appreciated!
#2 Sexy:
Lingerie is the easiest way out. After you draw her a bath, lay out some lingerie and surprise her. Lingerie makes a woman feel sexy and ultimately, it is a gift for the guys. You don't always have to go for the high end La Perla lingerie in order to make your woman feel sexy. I have found a bunch of sexy lingerie under $50 that'll do the trick. If your girlfriend is normally self conscious about her body, this might not be the way to go. Sometimes I feel sexy just by putting on a pair of delicious high heels. One year my boyfriend got me these really hot stilettos that I get compliments on every time I wear them. Every time I get a compliment, I feel sexy and I think of him because I felt like he knew exactly what I liked. However, if your girl isn't a shoe gal, how about drawing her a bath and then laying out a date night dress that she can wear to dinner later. If you drew her a bath and laid out a sexy dress that she can wear to dinner later (whether you eat in or go out), you will be scoring major points for Valentine's day!
#3 Appreciated:
At the end of the day, everyone wants to feel appreciated. We not only want to see it, we want to hear it. We all want reassurance that this is the relationship we want to be in because the other person appreciates all of the things you do throughout the year. One Valentine's Day, my boyfriend left a gigantic oversized card on my windshield and wrote down a huge list of all the things he appreciated about me. It was cute, funny (mainly because I'm notorious for getting parking tickets and I thought it was a huge parking ticket), romantic and thoughtful. I will always refer to that moment as a great Valentine's Day surprise. So remember, tell the other person how much you appreciate them. If you're creative, write a poem or a silly love song to make them laugh. However you do it, it's important to reflect on why you're in the relationship rather than pick at all the things wrong with it. This is a day where you shouldn't be allowed to bicker, but rather enjoy the other person's company.
With those 3 things in mind, I promise you will have a successfully enjoyable Valentine's Day. You can't go wrong if you put forth the effort. One thing I dislike the most is when I ask my boyfriend, "so where are you taking me for dinner?" and he replies, "I don't know, where do you want to go?" Ugh! So annoying. Have a plan in mind and show that you thought of specific ideas to appreciate the other person.
