Vanessa Hudgens' stunning black gown was originally a short dress that the designer elongated per the actress' request. Absolutely stunning! They always say a black dress is appropriate in every occasion, and this is no exception. The bottom of the dress makes this an appropriate red carpet gown a complete success.

Mary Hart's green floral dress failed. This gown is reminiscent of the secret garden. The cut, the colors, everything is wrong wrong wrong. Only those with a green thumb would like this, not for the red carpet.

 

Miley Cyrus: Worst Dressed at the 2009 Academy Awards / Oscars

Hannah Montana and Bolt star Miley Cyrus is wearing an ultra bling gown designed by Zuhair Murad at the 2009 Oscars. This dress is too old for her. It looks like fish scales or plates of mushroom or something growing out of her body. I appreciate all of the detail, but I think this dress was overwhelming and I gasped when I saw it. And not in a good way.

 

Lisa Rinna: Best Dressed at the 2009 Academy Awards / Oscars

Lisa Rinna is wearing a gorgeous deep purple gown designed by Argentinian designer Gustavo Cadile with Jimmy Choo shoes. This simple dress was perfect for the occasion for her as she hosts TV Guide's red carpet coverage. I'm surprised she didn't rock the slit up the leg and kept it classy. Her hair is rather medusa looking, but overall we dig this look.
