It's hard, I know, it's hard! Your father has been through so many holidays and you're running out of ideas. Well, unless I personally knew everyone's dad and his individual personality, it's hard to suggest something truly unique. I'm going to give you my top 5 that any dad can appreciate. And you never know, that wallet that you got him 5 Christmases ago may be worn down and it could be time for a new one. In any case, these are my 5 favorite gifts for dad that he can always use and will definitely appreciate!

#1 Shoes
Dress shoes, work shoes, tennis shoes, walking shoes, any type of shoe! It's safe to say that if you're buying shoes for your father, he will be wearing it until the soles rip off. At least that's the case for my dad. I love buying him shoes because dads may find it hard to spend money on shoes. I, on the other hand, love spending money on a good pair of durable, comfortable and always fashionably updated pair of shoes for my dad. If your dad's not going to do it for himself, and your mom can't seem to do it for him either, then do him a favor and get him a new pair of shoes. He'll love it! Trend dad up with a pair of walking shoes that are great for work or casual jeans:

#2 Scarves & Hats
Tell him it's for warmth, tell him it's for the winter, tell him whatever you need in order to accessorize his outfits just a little more! I don't know about you, but it's been exceptionally cold this year and nothing keeps dad warmer than a scarf and hat. My dad wears scarves and hats all the time. Do they necessarily compliment his outfits? Not always, as he is a man and goes for function. But I can help him out with function AND aesthetic. Scarves and hats are a great way to accessorize an outfit and can be so sophisticated and chic. This is a budget friendly gift that's functional, and great for every father! Here's a list of my favs:

#3 Sweaters & Coats
Ok, so you gotta have something to layer the scarf on top of. How about a new coat? And layer that coat over a new sweater. Keep your dad warm with the winter essentials. Not every father has a nice pea coat or wool coat, so this could be the year! Open up his eyes to the warmth of a sleek winter wool jacket and keep him stylish. When he takes off his jacket for indoor activities, make sure he is sporting a nice sweater. Go for a v-neck or knitted sweater. Consider some of these:

#4 Watches
Let's face it, a watch is the only fine jewelry that every man can feel confident wearing. It not only tells time, but it is a symbol of status. Or maybe you're sick of looking at that watch you bought for your dad ten birthday's ago and he needs a new one. This makes a great gift. You can buy him a watch and be done shopping for dad. Either way, I have my favorite classic and trendy watches that will fit any dad's own personal style.

#5 Jeans
Oh yes, don't overlook the jeans! Your dad may not be able to rock the trendy skinny jeans, but trust me, he probably could use a new pair. Maybe something with a better wash! Traditionally, dads just go for the straight leg, relax fit, really blue-washed jeans. Maybe get him a darker pair of jeans he can pair with that nice sweater you bought for him. Then he can throw on a casual pair of walking shoes and be ready to hit the town. Just because he's dad, doesn't mean he can't be a little bit more fashionable and GQ. Trust me, once dad gets a pair of new jeans to wear with everything else I've suggested, he will look good and feel good! And isn't that the best gift of all? :-)
Let dad try on some of these jeans:

Men's Winter Fashions 2009: Winter Accessories

Guys, don't be afraid to have a little fun with your wardrobe while staying warm this winter. Winter accessories add extra flair and are completely functional. There are a lot of guys I know that are too afraid to try out scarves. In my opinion, men look more sophisticated and stylish when a scarf is involved. It kind of gives you that "model" look. But if you're more of a rough kind of guy, there are plenty of other accessories you should try out this season. Here are my top 3.

Lemme just start off with the scarves because I love them so much. I mean, how could you not? It keeps you warm, first of all. If you're ever caught wearing a light jacket in the wintertime, wearing a scarf totally warms your whole body up. So, functional? Check. If you're worried about standing out too much with a scarf, you can always opt for a gray scarf to blend in. However, if you're any of my crazy friends, and you want to stand out, play with color and patterns! Say you're wearing your usual black pants and white collared shirt to work. Then BAM! You top it off with a red scarf or maybe a scarf with a checkered pattern that has many colors on it to compliment many outfits. Instantly more stylish. Or let's say you're in your work clothes with your wool coat and then BAM! You top it off with a faux fur brown scarf for added texture. I think sporting the faux fur scarf is uber sophisticated. I will say only mature men can really pull off the look. And you might need to hold a cigar and some scotch to really have the look down. Whatever your case is, there is a scarf out there for everyone and it looks good on everyone. And if you're STILL too afraid to try, it makes a great gift for Christmas. Buy a scarf for your friend, father in law, or a co-worker/boss for extra bonus points.

So, you're not a scarf kind of guy huh? Or maybe you're a scarf kind of guy AND a beanie kind of guy. I will have to say, unlike scarves, not everyone can pull off a beanie. Sometimes our heads are shaped a little weird and it just ends up looking like you're wearing it ONLY to stay warm. Which is fine. But next time you go to buy a new beanie, just consider your options. Straight basic beanies that hug your head like a glove, usually look better on guys with very defined features. A strong jaw line or an angular face. If you have a round face, your head and face will end up looking like a crystal ball if you sport the basic beanie. Not cute. If this is the case, try an over-sized beanie that bring the eyes up and elongates your face. If you have a round face, don't go for the over-sized beanie with the pom pom at the end. We want to avoid having too many circles. Over-sized beanies look great on many face shapes and again, are great stocking stuffers for Christmas. Try these on for size:

Then there is something for eveyrone. I don't think I know anyone who is opposed to wearing gloves. This winter accessory definitely makes a great gift for dad or brother. Especially since year after year, it gets harder to know what to get your family. Assume they are in the market for new gloves. There are different types and styles to choose from. Is your father or brother more of a leather glove kind of guy? Leather gloves are more sleek, stylish, and sophisticated. If you want to portray that look, but be more eco conscious, try faux leather gloves. They are harder to find, but they are definitely out there. Or, if you're like my dad and it's just important to keep your hands ultra warm, go for a woven glove. This season, I may also introduce to him the cuff glove so he can extend the warmth of his glove up his arms. Whatever the case, here are a few of my favorites for you or a gift for the ones you love:

Top 3 Most Comfortable Dress Shoes for Men

comfortable shoes for men

I'm using them for about a year, 3-4 times daily. I've used some other brands before but they didn't work as well as those do. ! The difference between a brand name medicine and a generic one is in the name, shape and in the price.

While shopping for comfortable shoes for myself, something occurred to me. Just because guys don't have to wear super high heels, doesn't necessarily mean their dress shoes are comfortable. So I asked my fiance what he looks for in comfort when he's shopping for shoes. His answer, "Light weight, soft leather, rubber sole." This recipe makes for the ultimate comfortable men's dress shoe. I then wondered, did he look to specific brands for a comfortable dress shoe? Or was it all a shot in the dark? To my surprise, he named off 3 brands that he felt generally had comfortable shoes. I am only surprised because when I find a comfortable heel, I am talking about it all day, all month, all year. When guys find something comfortable, they like it and they keep it to themselves and continue on with their lives talking about other normal "guy" stuff. It's so funny how we operate isn't it? It's a good thing I asked him his opinion on comfortable shoes though. Otherwise, you would have to roam the malls longer than your guy shopping clock allows and may not be able to find the right dress shoes. Well, you're in luck. In no particular order, here are the top 3 brands that carry the most comfortable men's dress shoe.

1. Johnston & Murphy
Johnston & Murphy shoes are made with fine soft leather on the outside and lined with soft leather on the inside. Along with soft leather on the inside, their shoes have soft-gel cushion insoles, with a cooling airflow design. These shoes are great for office and indoor work. Not so much recommended if you work out in the fields a lot. It has a smaller rubber sole at the bottom and may wear down faster. Also, with a price range anywhere from $100-$300, you must be sure these will last you awhile.

2. Ecco
Ecco shoes are awesome because they have something for everyone in the family and they really do focus their design on comfort. Rich leathers, lightweight and a unique design on the sole to provide the ultimate shock absorption to protect your joints. People forget that comfort also means comfort for the rest of your body. A lot of times when you walk around a lot and your back starts to hurt, it could be as simple as not wearing the right shoes. Try Eccos to see if it's the right brand for you, especially if you've been experiencing some knee, hip or back issues.

3. Rockport
Rockport shoes are not only great for the office, but also great if you do a lot of field work as well. The rubber sole is super thick, the leather is flexible and it is great for long hours of walking and constantly slamming your feet on hard surfaces all day. The rubber soles absorb the shock and feels as close to wearing gym shoes as you can get. These shoes are also very durable so it'll last you a long time. And with a price range that starts at about $50 (that's a starting price of $50 less than Eccos or Johnston and Murphys), it's worth every penny.

2009 Trendy Board Shorts and Swimming Trunks For Men

So guy fashion never really gets too funky or changes that much. Especially when it comes to swimming trunks. Anything where a strong wave could cause you to offend a crowd (ie., short shorts, speedos, etc.) can only be good if you have an amazing body. Otherwise, prepared to receive looks and giggles. Not that you should care about what other people think, but aren't they uncomfortable? Honestly, I feel like the Europeans can get away with this much better than the Americans. We're just too judgmental and the men here aren't as confident with their sexuality. So...board shorts it is. But let's say you've dug into your dresser and the only pair of board shorts you could find were too big or too dingy and you're ready for a new pair. Well, that's where I come in. Keeping with the 2009 trend, choose something a little more colorful or something with some pattern. It doesn't have to be off the wall funky 80s pattern if you don't want to go that far. If you want it to be timeless (let's face it, guys don't go shopping as often as we girls do) go with a preppy plaid or surfer flowers. It's going to be one of the few times it's perfectly acceptable for a man to sport florals. Here are my top picks for this year's trendiest swimming trunks for guys.

Preppy Plaids:
I love plaid board shorts because I think they're preppy and have enough pattern to add interest, yet also very timeless. They're especially popular this year. And if you run out of shorts for the day, you can technically put on your plaid swim trunks and still be stylish. A+ for plaid!

Good quality, will reorder. Generic viagra lowest prices! Since we opened our doors in 2004, our shop has filled over 5 million discount prescription orders through our Canadian pharmacy.

Hibiscus Flowers
Even though hibiscuses are flowers, they're pretty masculine. It's very surfer-ish, and will always be stylish for guys on the beach or poolside. It's also pretty timeless and fun.

Ultra Trendy 80's inspired
So if you've noticed, the 80s are back and they're going on strong. Pop culture is at it's peak and if you're the kind of guy that can pull off the 80s look, go for it! But let it be known that a few years from now, when you look back, you may do the "what was I thinking???" But who cares right?! When they're hot, they're hot! Think neon colors, retro Kanye West videos patterns and lasers and you should be on the money. If you need some help figuring it out. Here are my picks:

Board Shorts to Stay Away From!!
Paisleys, sailboats, pastel patchwork, or and island scenery, are no no double no's! Yuck yuck yuck! Reminds me of old people's swim trunks and honestly, only pervs wear paisleys. It's a little known fact. So please, I do not want to stare at your crotch to figure out what island you're wearing, and keep the sailboats for the kids. And the one with naked cartoon girls on it -- fit for a tool. If you're a tool, get these! If not, please keep it classy. We don't want to think that the only girls you can get near your crotch are cartoons. And the American Flag?.....really? Here are some examples to stay away from:
