Benefits of Quinoa

Quinoa Quinoa (pronounced KEEN-wah), known as the "mother of all grains," is my pick for one of the best protein sources and rice replacement.  Of course, we all know white rice is not the first choice when it comes to staying slim.  It is high in carbs and low in protein.  As a healthier choice, some people eat brown rice instead of white.  But quinoa, in my opinion, stands head and shoulders above even brown rice.  Its protein content is very high (12-18%) and it's low in carbs, which is especially important for vegetarians and vegans.  What's more, it is a complete protein source, containing a balanced set of essential amino acids.  Quinoa is also a great source of fiber and high in magnesium and iron; you just can't argue with the power in its punch!  And the best quality?  It tastes great!

This one of the best products in the market with the added value that refrigeration is not necessary.

! Erectile dysfunction (ED) treatment can be effective.

Quinoa PreparedPrepare quinoa as you would prepare rice.  I use a rice cooker to make life easier for myself.  Use one part quinoa to two parts water.  For example, put one cup of quinoa and two cups of water into your rice cooker, put the lid on, press the "cook" button and you're done!  (To make quinoa extra tasty, use vegetable broth instead of water).  You can make great vegetable pilaf with this, or just eat it with stir-fry. Like I said, it is a great rice substitute, so add it wherever you would add rice in your dishes.  Bon appetit!

Quinoa is available online (such as and, Trader Joes, Whole Foods and other health food stores.

Affirmations for a Healthy Life

So you buy this great software, bring it home, and attempt to install in on your computer. Problem is, you have no idea how your computer works and integrating the software is way beyond you. Oh, and you also happened to buy a Math Tutorial program when what you really needed was Norton Antivirus. You eventually figure out how to install the program by tinkering with it everyday. is still a math program, so day after day, it spits out odd formulas and equations at you. Meanwhile, your computer has inherited 10 viruses and a worm.

Very good product and the price is right. ! We fill thousands of online prescriptions everyday because our customers know that we offer unmatched value and the highest level of customer service delivered 24-7.

Believe it or not, most of us go through this everyday with a top notch, state-of-the-art computer called our MIND. It is the most powerful machine, stimulating responses, and dictating emotions. Problem is, most of us have no idea how to use it to our advantage and end up being controlled by it. What's more, we tend to download the wrong "software," which is composed of our negative thoughts. Everyday, we input negativity, causing negative experiences, and then we are left wondering why life isn't turning out as planned. The solution is simple: UNINSTALL--REBOOT--AND GET WITH THE PROGRAM!

One of the most powerful ways to rewire your mind correctly is through affirmations. Affirmations are positive statements that you repeat aloud to yourself daily. It is a simple, yet extremely effective technique. Do these everyday consistently, and your life will change in a very short time.

Think of the areas in your life that you would like to improve. When you say your affirmation, be grateful for whatever you're thinking of as if it is already there. For example, instead of saying, "I hope to have/want a lot of money" say, "I am grateful for the abundance of the Universe, and riches come to me quickly under grace and love." Also, state your affirmation in a positive manner, say what you do want, not what you don't want. For example, instead of saying, "I do not want to judge others" say, "I am a tolerant person who sees love and beauty in others." Again, think of the areas that you would like to improve in your life. Is it money, relationships, your own spiritual growth? Write out 10 affirmations, and put each one on an index card. Repeat all 10 affirmations aloud 10 times throughout the day. Gradually increase your affirmations to 20, then 30, and so on, covering all aspects of your life that you want to push to the next level. Again, repeat these 10 times a day.

It is 2009, there is no better time to change your life. And when it comes to changing your life, there is no better WAY than to change your MIND.

Weight Loss Benefits of Oolong Tea

Oolong tea not only tastes good, but it's good FOR you too!

Let me tell you guys something....I love the TASTE of coffee! I would be a normal coffee drinker, but I just don't like the way it makes me feel. It usually makes me sleepy rather than awake and someone once told me it was because I am a short girl...which I don't know what that has to do with anything...I'm still scratching my head on that one. Well anyway, instead of coffee, I drink lots of tea! The BEST tea to drink in terms of taste, slimming effects, and many other health benefits, is Oolong tea! It's an Authentic Premium Chinese Tea and some of the most sophisticated connoisseurs or tea regard it as, "The finest tea on earth, the ultimate masterpiece in the Chinese art of tea."....and here I just bought it for $2 -- who knew I was drinking the finest tea on earth! What does it do for you?

  • Boosts your metabolism - Oolong tea helps break down fat molecules making it easier to digest.  It blocks the fattening effects of carbs and neutralizes acids in your body.  All the while boosting your metabolism and surpressing your appetite. (Sweet!)
  • Improves acne - It basically cleans out the toxins in your body which helps with clearing up acne and smooths and softens your skin. (Smooth skin is much sexier.)
  • Vitamins A, C & E - Oolong has significant amounts of these vitamins which helps strengthen your teeth, reduces hair loss, and boosts your immune system.  This is really good during the cold and flu season to help keep away the bugs. (My teeth are strong like bull....)
  • 100% Natural - I am and have always been an all natural girl.  I don't like taking medication, I prefer to heal with natural substances.  This is why I love Oolong tea because I've tried the slimming teas and those teas leave you feeling really weird...mainly leaves you hanging around the bathroom all day.  It's not hot and it creeps me out to even THINK about all the chemicals they're putting in there.  Oolong makes you feel clean, refreshed, and it tastes really good!

How much do you have to drink?

  • 2 cups a day, it doesn't hurt if you drink more.  I like to drink it straight, but if its your preference, add honey or sweeteners to taste.

Where do I get it?

  • At your local supermarket. If they don't sell it, try or eBay.
  • Obviously there are different levels and different price ranges to Oolong. I recommend starting in the range of $5.00 for a box of 100 teabags -- that's a pretty good price.

I think if your New Years Resolution is to lose weight, this is a simple step towards your goal and it doesn't hurt to try something new. So put down the coffee and pick up some Oolong tea! (And it's fun to say!)

Ok, I do understand you have a hectic life with little time to brush your hair let alone prepare a nice, healthy meal. Your car will inevitably make its way up to the drive-thru window, and there's nothing I can do about it. But being the great friend that I am, I'm right there with you!! We'll enter the fiery gates of destruction that is fast food, and with a good strategy, can still come out alive...a little charred, but still breathing. Alright, listen up gang, here's the plan---we're goin' in!!

So far so good. . Since online pharmacies have appeared a lot of opportunities appeared which have to be implemented.

My Top Menu Picks for:

English Muffin
1pkg Grape Jam
Small Coffee
Hotcakes with syrup (NO MARGARINE)
8 fl oz 1% Low Fat White Milk

Any salad with Newman's Own Low-Fat Italian Dressing
1 sandwich with NO CHEESE and NO SAUCE
Apple dippers or Fruit 'n Yogurt Parfait

If you are going to have fries, make it a small, and eat it SLOWLY.

Why are you having dinner at McDonald's?? Have some dignity people! But if you MUST, then follow the same instructions as in the Lunch plan.

*By the way, I am in no way suggesting that you should have breakfast, lunch, AND dinner at McDonald's, that can be brutal--umm, have we seen "Super Size Me"? I am merely giving options for each eating period since I am not certain at what time of day your car will pass by those golden arches...

Stick with the basics here. If you have to choose, go with a regular hard shell or soft taco. I like the 7-Layer Burrito, Bean Burrito or Veggie Bowl with no dressing. Don't get anything that has the word "Stuft" or "Crunchwrap" in it. And of course, if you don't want to look like a "Double Decker," don't eat one.
