So, did I ever tell you I love my job? People send me the coolest stuff and I am always looking for the most unique products out there. In this case, Kellee Peer, the owner and designer of the Clutch for Cures Collection was generous enough to send the Style With Anna Team one of her clutch creations.

Have you ever seen those amazing magazine clutch purses that were popular in the the 70's? They were originally designed in Europe as a decoy for would-be purse snatchers that roamed the streets of London. A gal could carry her clutch purse tucked under her arm and crooks would think all she was toting was a rolled up magazine. Brilliant!

Kellee says, "I fell in love with the magazine clutch purse the first time I laid eyes on one at a vintage clothing boutique. Regardless of where I carried my vintage clutch gals would stop me to ask were I had gotten it. Convinced that there was a huge market, I was inspired to redesign the magazine clutch and bring it back to the fashion world. After more than three years of prototypes, material sourcing, patent filing and a short battle with US customs (those guys are mean), I am proud to introduce my Clutch for Cures collection. The collection puts a modern twist on the magazine clutch."

Features & Beneifts:

  • Interchangeable Magazine Cover - The retro magazine cover that comes with each clutch can easily be interchangeable with a contemporary magazine cover, making the purse completely customizable.

  • Carrying Options - Carry the purse as a traditional clutch, wristlet, short handled purse, or as a long shoulder bag. You decide -- all the chain components come with the purse.
  • Good Karma - Six different charities benefit from the purchase of any purse.

We're giving one away, valued at $125! To enter:

  1. I have too many handbags to choose an absolute favorite. I love my newer designer ones and my vintage treasures. I think my glossy red Kazuyo Nakano bag gives me the most pleasure because I bought it to treat myself after achieving a goal. I think of that achivement every time I use the bag, plus it’s lovely!!
    Great contest! Great blog!

My favorite purse: was one I bought when I was down in Buenos Aires, Argentina a few years back. It is a leather sling purse with many pockets and a unique style. It is so comfortable I forget I’m even wearing it!

Gorgeous magazine clutches! I have so many purses, it’s tough to choose a fave…but I do love one that I made myself, from a buttery-soft embossed stone-colored cowhide that sparkles white in the light…I added talon spikes to the sides for some extra oomph…and I spent 6 weeks sewing it on my regular home-sewing machine… Spending hours into the night after I’d put my baby to bed in order to get it done by New York Fashion Week so I could take it with me to show to everybody and get some feedback.. I got some great feedback from boutique owners and fashion people (including Robert Verdi and Fern Mallis, woohoo!) but after going back home I just couldn’t find anyone who could produce the bags in small runs so my dream of manufacturing and selling these bags was shelved for awhile… Anyway, I bled for this bag, I dragged it across the country, I talked it up, I sweat to make it and put lots of love into it… That’s why it’s my favorite!
    Thanks for the giveaway!

This magazine clutch purse is so cute! What a fun contest!

  8. Samya says:

My favorite handbag would have to this cute little clutch that my friend gave me, before we moved opposite directions. Its white with black polka-dots and has a black heart for the snap. Its not only totally cute, but it means a lot to me. She’s my best friend and it was the last thing she gave me. I haven’t seen her in almost a year and we don’t talk very often. But she’ll always be my sister and that handbag will always be my favorite.

  9. Dali says:

I am addicted to purses, love em all sizes and all styles… My favorite one is one i bought very cheap it’s a zebra print and very big and roomy inside.. But I still carry a small one inside that big one in case i don’t need all the stuff with me, so this Magazine Clutch Purse would be perfect for my lighter days :)

  10. Valerie says:

I’d have to say the “Audrey Hepburn” clutch is my fave because I have a 22 yr. old daughter that often gets told that she looks like Audrey.

  11. Susan says:

I love my Longchamp Luggage tote. The leather has worn beautifully, the size is just perfect, and the color goes with everything.

  12. Rebecca says:

I love all kinds of bags and purses, but my favorite handbag is my bronze faux-leather tote. It’s big enough for me to put lots of stuff in it, but it’s still light enough that it doesn’t weigh me down on days when I have to carry it around for long periods of time. Plus, it matches almost any outfit! I am not an impulsive shopper, but I bought this handbag within minutes of seeing it as I walked by a small shop because I just had to have it.

The Magazine Clutch is a fantastic concept, and I love the idea of interchangeable covers and purse straps. Thanks so much for sharing.

  13. Crystal says:

I love my small red Etienne Aigner purse that I found at a vintage store for $12. The strap is the perfect length to easily fit on my shoulder, and the bag is just the right size to carry a book and a journal. It goes with practically everything I have, and it exactly matches my favorite lipstick.

  14. Emily Whiting says:

My very favorite handbag is a beat-up old leather Chanel bag. It’s simple and a little bit damaged, but it’s still gorgeous and classy, and I love that it has some history behind it. I got it second-hand, and it’s fun to wonder about the things it has gone through, and where each little scratch came from.

  15. Ashley says:

I don’t currently have a favorite bag, I’ve never been much of a bag person, but I am so in love with these Magazine Clutches! If I had the Audrey clutch, that would definitely be my favorite bag!

  16. Carla Pullum says:

My favorite handbag is my GUESS Black handbag! Has Silver chain as the strap I bought it at Gottchalks before it went out of business!

My favorite handbag is a soft butter yellow leather that feels so soft and yet has great shape. I fell in love with the color the first time I saw it and, surprisingly enough, it goes with a lot!

  18. My favorite handbag was a slouchy blue Hayden Harnett bag! It looked great with jeans or a dress.

  19. My favorite purse is one with a long strap. I also like the Vera Bradley designs.

  20. Lisette says:

My favorite handbag is this handmade bag one of my best friends made for me. She’s so VERY talented and the handbag is just too darn lovely! It’s black and has these unique designs all over it. It’s pretty darn eye catching too :)

    i like the marilyn monroe!!

  22. Karen says:

I have to say my favorite bag is still my first ‘designer bag’ that I bought for myself after I graduated college and started my first job. I always said I would get myself a fabulous purse as a reward for graduating with an Electrical and Computer Engineering degree. I bought myself a beautiful black Kate Spade leather bag that is timeless. I’ve had it repaired twice already and it still looks like new! I was laid off back in April and I’m starting a new job next week and I will still be able to bring in that beautiful black leather Kate Spade and still remember what I’ve accomplished thus far in my life!

  23. teresa says:

Mine’s a wool clutch from J. Crew – it looks like a purse from the 1930′s, I love it.

  27. Heather says:

My favorite purse is a bright pink and green clutch – I love it because it’s unique, stands out, and says a lot about my unique personality. Everytime I wear it out, I can count on a compliment. Plus, lets face it – no matter how much ice cream I consumed that week, the purse will always fit and make me feel great!

  28. Vanessa says:

I have one favorite purse and it is the first thing my mother purchased without any strings. The purse is a Fossil in a chocolate brown and it is seven years old. I do not think it is fair for me to win anything else for awhile since the recent win. But the purses are lovely. Sorry, your trip wasn’t everything it could have been considering your fiance’ lying around and talking on a cell phone; which can be done at home. Go figure the workings of the male mind. Maybe next time you can go with your girlfriends, I see enjoyment in your future in NY….hahaha!

  29. Annaversary says:

I LOVE Rebecca Minkoff handbags. Not only are they made from the best leathers but they are affordable for women of all backgrounds and ages. You have to own ATLEAST one RM. I have about 8 and I’m not done :)

  30. Amanda G says:

My favorite purse is my huge read D&G bag. I can fit everything I need in it when I’m out all day. It also works great as a weekend bag to put my clothes and what not in.

I love that Audrey Hepburn cluth! I would just die if I won that.

  31. Christina says:

My favorite purse is my simple bright pink DuckHead purse. I work with breast cancer, so I have and collect a lot of different pink items. I always carry it the month of OCtober for Breast Cancer AWareness Month.

    That clutch is very cute!

This is my favorite purse of all time – just found your page as I was writing a blog post. I had a babysitter when I was about 12 who had one of these and I thought it was the neatest thing ever but could never find one in any store. I’ve always wanted one!
